New Year - New Attitude - New
First raid in the New Year and it was a nice way to start it all off. Master Vule, Queen and Vish all dead in the same raid.
It wasn't a half bad night at all. We just need to finish up a few flags for some members then Demi-Plane will be the main dish. I am personally looking forward to that!
We've had lots of grats over the last week for finishing up Depths of Darkhollow progression. I think I speak for most members when I say we appriciate the kind words. And for those who keep insisting that Demi-Plane is the "plane of minor upgrades" I will offer up my take. Personally I was somewhat disappointed with the quality of Demi-Plane loot vs. Anguish loot. It certainly wasn't the same spread we saw from Omens of War loot vs. whatever expansion you want to say came before that.
Truth is, its not stellar. However Everquest isn't only about loot. Its about fun for the most part, but when you have more than a year spent in Anguish, you do need something new...and the fact it offers upgrades (no matter how small) is nothing but a plus. Besides the next expansion has already been nicknamed LoY 2.0 by most people I know. If thats the case, then Demi-Plane is it for a few months...better to get there sooner than later.
Fun + progression is a nice mix. Upgrades...even little ones...make it that much nicer!
That being said, we have room for a few select classes to round out our numbers on raid nights. Stop by our forums and read up on your class. If its open and you fit the bill, speak to the class leader or a recruiting officer. If your class is closed, don't give up hope! We always have room for exceptional players with solid reputations.
